Large cat loose at Craigie Park
January 2001
A local woman believes that a large cat is loose in the Craigie Park area of Ayr, and her husband believes he has seen it at the start of January this year, albeit at a distance, no details and there was not really any scale, so the witness is keeping an open mind in case it was just a domestic moggie.
Talking of which, the lady caller is quite alarmed at the rate local pet cats are going missing in the area! I once kept a record of domestic pets going missing in the Kilmarnock area and its quite astounding really as to how many disappear. I'm not saying they are all supper for a large cat, but they must go somewhere?
