Big Cat seen at Ardersier around 1998

From a message to Scottish Big Cats in February 2002

I read with interest the increasing sightings of "big cats" around Scotland. About 4 years ago at the top of the private road leading to what was the Barmac Yard at Ardersier I definitely saw something similar to the what has been described as a "big cat". It was dark in colour and didn't hang about as I turned the corner, darting quickly across the road and disappearing into the bracken. I did at the time mention to the locals what I had seen and they did not seem either surprised or perturbed.
