Black Animal Sighted near Lockerbie
Late August 1998
"I saw a large black animal in a field, it didn't look right, its movements were totally different to that of cattle or a dog even. It had a smoother kind of movement, and must have been quite large."
The sighting took place on top of a hill at Burnswaik. There was a panoramic view and the animal was in sight for two to three minutes.
A friend who is a farmer has experienced several sheep kills, although she belives that wild dogs or foxes are responsible. Recently, a lamb disappereded at the farm.
