Very interesting site. We are big cat fans, having worked
with several species.
Also sighted a black leopard in January 1998 at Dalavich. (not
reported - didn't want anybody taking pot-shots at it!)
Date and Time: January 1998
Location: Dalavich, by Taynuilt, Argyll

Description: Black leopard, approx size of labrador but longer.
Tail very long.
Early morning - icy. Impression that animal was female head small and sleek.
*We have worked with big cats
Movement: Curled on large rock and uncurled at leisure and sloped off at our approach.
Noise: None
Duration: 35 seconds
Distance: 70 -100m seen from road looking to slope in field from village.
Weather: Weather dry and icy. (Black ice) Weak morning sun
Evidence: Leopard latrine area found about 3 - 4 miles away on remote forest walk above Arinectan. *Smelt of leopard.
