Report from George Markie

John Dewar of Kinnaber by Montrose saw a Labrador sized black cat on a hillside by Kinnaber water works.
It was described as being black with a long curving tail with a blunt end and was sitting like a cat.
Its head was three and a half to four feet off the ground.
Police searched the area to the north of Hillside village and found a dead rabbit which was still warm and had no visible signs of injury.
They also found a tuft of black fur caught in a fence near to where the cat had been sighted.
