Report from Chris Smith
Fears there is a species of big cat roaming the Highlands killing sheep appear to have been quashed after post mortem examinations on four lambs.
Farmer John MacLennan, 69, of Balnaglack Farm, Dalcross, has been baffled by the killings as they did not appear to show signs consistent with worrying.
But the Scottish Agriculture College Advisory Centre at Inverness carried out the examinations and ruled that the animals had been attacked by a medium-sized dog.
It also appeared that a number of other animals scavenged the remains.
