Report from Chris Smith
A PORT GLASGOW man thought he was cat napping when he spotted a puma strolling through the town centre late at night.
Stunned Terry Pettigrew watched from his car as a large black wildcat walked past the shops and began making its way along Barrs Brae.
Said Terry 'I thought I was seeing things until a man came running round a corner with a worried look on his face after passing the animal.
"And no we hadn't been drinking."
The sighting around 11.30pm on Monday was reported to the police in Port Glasgow.
A police spokesman said 'We have to take reports like this seriously but so far the cat has not been seen anywhere else.
