Big cat seen by walker in Kilmarnock
September 1996
Near the Springhill Nursing Home in Kilmarnock, the witness was out walking her dog at 7pm. A very large cat-like animal appeared from behind a tree in the street! She and her dog were rooted to the spot with fear. The animal after staring at her for several seconds slowly backed off. She describes it as being shiny black in colour with a long tail.
