Report 1
Male motorist driving through Kilmarnock and just about to enter Hurlford when from his right there ran a large cat-like animal which he hit denting his registration plate. His car was travelling at a slow speed and the animal carried on and disappeared into fields on the left.
Report 1
Alexander was driving home, he almost reached the "square Bridge" on London Road that leads into Hurlford, around the area of Grey's Fuels, travelling from Kilmarnock.
From his left a cat-like animal jumped from the bushes and hit the front of the car denting the number plate. Alex was travelling fairly slowly at the time.
The animal did not stop but carried on running into the fields on the opposite side of the road.
It was dark in colour and had a very long tail. Alex was sure it was a cat and definitely not a dog.
