Report from George Markie & Mike Inglis
Dear Mike and George,
It was with great interest that I read Your BIG CAT Article in the Sunday POST on the 13 th of Jan 2002 because I had an experience with A BIG BLACK CAT, Back in 1985 late July. The time was about 4.30 - 5.00. My wife Anne, our youngest son Dominic and myself were on holiday in a Log Cabin by Lock Eck our third son Andrew was joining us, but like all families he needs to be picked up. he was coming up on the night train from London To Glasgow central.
So we had to be up bright and early on the Sunday morning Because we had to travel north up Lock Eck on the A815 to Glen Kingless turn right to Terabit on the A83, then right again on the A82, Down the hill twisty road of LOCK LOMOND. just after going through the village of LUSS, We rounded another corner Only to find that road works with traffic lights were on red, so we had to stop, I could See that beyond the lights the road was lone and straight, I had a look around because it Was a beautiful morning approximately 5,00 am. on looking, to my left there was a gate With a thick hedge on each side. and a long field in between a forest on each side all the way To the top of the field as I was looking through the gate a BIG BLACK CAT walked in to my View, lt. was as big as an Alsatian with a short very shiny black coat. a small head with small Pointed ears and a long tall, WE LOOKED AT EACH OTHER It showed its teeth at me.
I COULD -NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING", I asked Anne to Pass me the camera from out of the glove box. -Anne said- It is not in there it must be back at the log cabin ! the lights have changed" !,So I started to drive the car past the road works STOPPED THE CAR got cut over to the gate to see if I could see the BIG BLACK CAT again.
Anne called after me" YOU CANT LEAVE US HERE THERE IS A CAR COMING THE OTHER WAY ", So I had to get back in and drive passed the road works, I parked up got out and went back to the gate I rested my arms on the top of gate, looked all around to the right to the left. THE IT HIT ME " What was I doing, looking for a BIG BLACK CAT FOR I DO NOT LIKE DOMESTIC CATS or Kittens. Just at that moment I saw THE CAT again it was sauntering up the middle of the field about halfway with its tall lolloping from side to side behind it, its coat glistening in the early morning sun, then I noticed that The field was FULL of sheep and deer, and they were playing the children's game of STATUES, NOT ONE OF THEM MOVED, THE BIG CAT carried on up the field and disappeared through the hedge at the top of the field, I did not see it Again, Just behind the hedge to the right was a very big house. 1 WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHO WAS LIVING IN THAT HOUSE IN 1985, because I think that house was this PANTHERS HOME ?????
NO BULL THIS IS FOR EVER IN MY ON BOARD VIDEO
YOURS FAITHFULLY MR JOHN HOLT
