Two large grey cats seen by police driver

30 th August 1981, between Dores and Inverfarigaig, Inverness-shire
At 2.30 pm on 30 August a police driver spotted two animals standing in the roadway as he was driving between Dores and Inverfarigaig on Loch Ness side. He saw them in good light at a distance of about 30 yd. The animals were definitely cats and similar in appearance, of a grey colouration with some white about the chest. They stood about 3 ft at the head, and he noticed that one had a thick curved tail. On being disturbed both animals ran off very quickly towards the water's edge where he lost sight of them.
