Report from Chris Smith
16 th December 1980, South Clunes, Inverness-shire
And at 8.00 am on 16 December 1981, a motorist who was driving near South Clunes, saw a large cat-like animal crossing the road. It was tan-coloured, about the size of a Labrador dog, and had a long thick tail. It jumped the fence before disappearing into woodland. The witness was certain it was a puma. Although there was snow on the ground, it had frozen so hard that the animal left no tracks.
