Report from Chris Smith
30 th November 1980, Garve, Ross-shire
On 30 November a crofter at garve discovered another sheep carcass. It had been completely devoured and all that remained was the head, fleece and part of the rib cage and spine. The contents of the stomach sac were found about 15 yd from the reamians. The carcass was examined by a vet, and although he could not give the exact cause of death, he noted very close similarities between it and the other two. There was a large hole in the animal's throat.
