Large gold coloured cat with brown stripes stalks hens

11 th September 1980, Cannich, Inverness-shire
On 11 th September Miss Chisholm was again alerted by the commotion her hens were making. On investigating the cause of the trouble she saw a large striped cat crouching low and stalking the hens. She said it was a really beautiful animal with dark-brown stripes on a gold coat; it had a tuft on the end of its tail and was about the size of a dog.
