Report from George Markie
June 1980, Cannich, Inverness-shire
In June Miss Chisholm received another cat-like visitor near her cottage. But this animal was very different from the black animals she had previously seen. She spotted a bunch of red hinds congregated in a corner of the deer-fence where they had broken it down. Sitting on a post watching them was a dog-sized cat, yellow-coloured with dark-brown markings on its body like rings or stripes. The animal was smaller than either of the black cats that she had seen and she thought it was like a tiger cub.
