Report from Ronnie Patterson
Witness A. L. of Kilmaurs
"A large golden-coloured animal with a big tail, about twice the size of my Labrador," came into her front garden at 10 am.
"It was well built, with a long tail, and moved beautifully at speed. It ran across the garden before jumping over two fences out into fields.
"I didnŐt report the sighting to the police because I asked a couple of locals if they had seen it and they had not. But I am a level headed person.
"I definitely saw what I described. It was like a young lioness."
A. L.also saw paw marks with "clearly defined claws" left in the snow.
