Large cat-like animal seen near Strathpeffer

23 rd November 1979, nr Strathpeffer, Ross-shire
At 7.15 pm on 23 November, a motorist driving near Strathpeffer spotted a large cat-like animal running across the road. This witness had spent some time in Africa and he was convinced that the animal he had seen was definitely not a lioness. It was the size of a sheep, fawn in colour and had a long springy tail.
