Large cat like animal seen by lorry driver

The same month (June) Hugh Gilmour, a lorry driver, also from Barrmill, was driving early one morning when he was startled to see a large cat-like animal bound across the road in front of him. He said 'Its body was 2 1/2 to 3 ft from the ground, it had heavy legs, fairly large paws and a long curled-up tail. He described the animal as lion-like.'
