From a letter to Scottish Big Cats:
We have never had any doubts that big cats roam the Highlands. In Spring 1960, my wife, a friend and I saw big cats pad marks on snow in the hills near Loch Awe. They must be a common sight for gamekeepers etc. For the past couple of years we've made an addition to our gear. We pack a dozen squibs in the bergens just in case they're not as shy as we think. I hope this wee contribution will help with your plans.
The witnesses also reported seeing tracks on Beinn Dubhchraig near Tyndrum in 1994
