Snow Leopard Escapes and is recaptured on same day
Bob and Lyn Engledow of Operation Big Cat inform us that a snow leopard was loose for a day but recaptured. Information from the MAAF.

Re Snow leopard at Welwyn in your List of "Escapes" etc I think it was 1994, 30th of November and the name was Tara (Female).
It seems there was a bit of a do in "Darting" it and the question is ...Was it recaptured?

We note with interest in the 'English escapes' mention of a snow leopard out for a day in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, showing 'date unknown' .
The actual date was 29th November 1994. We are part of this private establishment (although we now live in Scotland) and were involved with the recapture - can send you Newspaper Clippings if required.
