The Scottish Big Cats Team had the chance to meet the next generation of cat hunters when they gave a talk at Kemback organised by the pupils of Kemback Primary School. We were amazed at the turnout and the interest shown by people of all ages.
We were very impressed by the obvious hard work and enthusiasm the pupils had put into their big cat research and also their positive attitude towards the cats.
We'd like to thank Mrs Findlay and the Editor and Staff of the Kemback Ferret for asking us.

The Big Cat's a mystery cat, he is called the beast of Blebo.
For he's the master sleuth, of him there is no photo,
He's the bafflement of Edinburgh zoo and the farmer's despair,
For when they reach the woods of Blebo, the Big Cat's not there.
The Big Cat's really outsize, he's a mighty mog,
You would know him if you saw him, he's bigger than a dog,
When a lamb is missing or a dustbin has been rifled,
Or the sheep are in a state or another deer stifled,
The fence is broken or the wall beyond repair,
Aye there's the wonder of the thing, the Big Cat's not there.
The Big Cat, the Big Cat he gets the blame for it all,
When the committee lose the plans for the hall,
There may be a scrap of paper up a tree or sitting on the Loan,
But it is useless to investigate, the Big Cat's not there when the loss is known,
You'll be sure to find him resting or licking his paws,
But remember this is a cat without laws.
The Big Cat is a wily cat, he only comes out after dark,
His disappearing act is his trademark,
You may catch sight of him at the Drum or Flisk,
But just as quick he's off in a whisk, Leaving not a paw mark or a tuft of hair,
And when a camera's around the Big Cat's not there.
The Big Cat, The Big Cat there's no one like the Big Cat,
There never was such a master of illusion and that's that,
There's always a sceptic or two and some to spare,
But I know some folks who definitely would swear he's there,
There is the Beast of Buchan and the yeti of Atholl,
But the Big Cat of Blebo Woods is master of them all.
